Ok this is a good one. The first quote that comes to my mind is: "Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right." Am I supposed to know who said these? Can I even rely on the internet telling me the truth? I’ve seen quotes attributed to Lincoln about cellphones so…. Hmmmm… What’s another quote I like?
Ha! Well I really like a quote from one of the books from our first book cycle actually. Glennon Doyle says if you find yourself having to choose between disappointing yourself or disappointing someone else you should always disappoint someone else. I like that.
And last but not least, I’ll give a shout out to my own mother. This is less sage advice, and just more hilarious. My mom often describes her contribution to the conversation as being worth the inflated price of ten cents as opposed to the going rate of the rest of our opinions – two cents. “I’ll give you my ten cents worth Kimberley…” That always makes me giggle. Like why is your opinion worth so much more? Spoiler alert: it isn’t.
