I grew up on a dead-end street in a suburb. My brother and I would run around with the other kids in the neighbourhood; play street hockey; have street parties with all the neighbours; be out all day playing until we heard my dad whistle for us and we knew it was time to come home for dinner. It was much simpler times, it seems, then now.
Lindsay, describe the neighbourhood you grew up in, what was special, challenging?
