Working in the restaurant industry, my intelligence is questioned on a daily basis (and my butt is occasionally grabbed, unfortunately). I love my job, but there is a stigma attached to my profession that it is easy and not a worthwhile career. Most people I know who work in hospitality are extremely smart, have multiple degrees, and can multitask many things at the same time. We are the type of people who prefer to be moving and talking, instead of stuck behind desk from 9 to 5 every day. I am a strong, intelligent woman and I am not defined by the opinions of those people who think otherwise.
