On this weeks Manuscript Monday Kara recommends "The Gargoyle” by Andrew Davidson.
I rarely read fiction. I'd even go as far to say that, in general, I do not enjoy reading fiction - I prefer my fiction in the form of movies, tv shows and plays on the stage. But this book completely changed my opinion about fictional books. I was slow to get into the read, but by the time the second chapter arrived, I was completely submerged into the world and characters that the author created. There was deep symbolic meaning and rich metaphors, which I adore, and it had me questioning what is real, what is not real, and what are the markers I use to determine what is "real."
