I tell my husband I had a bad day and ask for a hug. I take a shower, as hot as I can stand. The water washes away the pain, frustration, and sometimes tears, too. I regroup and try to put things in perspective. I dress in comfy clothes. I might listen to music. I cuddle with my husband on the couch. I breathe.
