This weeks Thought Thursday is one of Kara's Curiosities.
Isn’t it weird that using our imaginations, being creative and engaging our wandering minds leads to the generation of new and valuable ideas, and yet, daydreaming is not a characteristic our society holds in high regard? In fact, our culture values active doing and producing, which is rewarded and reinforced; whereas, wondering, pondering and daydreaming are quickly interrupted and corrected. Which is odd, because it’s the wondering that leads to the producing of innovative new things.
