On this weeks Word Wednesday, Kim has presented the word "Scurryfunge". She sourced it from a post by Maks Viktor Antiquarian Books, however both Cambridge and Websters dictionary doesn't recognize the word. We have taken the pending investigation definition from Collins Dictionary.
Scurryfunge
(commonly used in 19th-century England)
A hasty tidying of the house between the time you see the neighbour coming and the time they knock on the door.
“I scurryfunge every time my mother-in-law announces she's popping round.”
In our family, it's called blitzing the house :)
